In what has developed into a classic NH Invitational celebrating a few of the icons of our sport, The Londonderry REAL Invitational took place in a fine fashion this past Saturday. A tune-up for Divisions, a last chance to qualify for many, below are many of the highlights. Pics coming soon.
Soraya Ross continues to tear it up this season winning in 12.47. Another super sophomore, Harriet Barber (Central) ripped the in 25.94. Barber did this after wining the 400 in 58.06. Pinkerton’s Jordan Wheaton took another High Hurdles in 15.63 while North’s Isabella DiVernieri took the 300 hurdles.
North’s Dantia Braccio won the 800 in 2:20.18, but was pressed by Bedford’s Fiona Lee and Souhegan’s Chloe Trudel. Trudel was doubling off of victory in the 1600 in 5:11,08. MV’s Sophia Reynolds was 2nd, but came back to win the girls 3200 in 11:47.
To finish off action on the track South tore up the 4×100 in 49.33, Pinkerton outleaned Concord and North in the 4×400 with all three clocking 4:15. Alvirne was right behind in 4:16. Alvirne had won the 4×800 earlier in the meet in 9:53.59 over Concord’s 9:59.52.
The field events saw Alvirne’s Molly O’Donnell win the High Jump clearing 5’2″ while Concord’s Kendall Barton and Bedford Maya Melatesta both cleared 9’6″ , but Barton won on misses.
Merrimack’s Kailey Dillon won the long jump by little more than an inch over Campbell’s Ava Houle. Pinkerton’s Madison Connors won the Triple with a mark of 35’1.75″
In the throws, Pinkerton’s Briana Danis continued to dominate with a 36’4″ mark but North’s Natalie Burgess was less than 4″ behind. Danis easily won the Discus by more than 15′. North’s Madelyn Novak won the Javelin in 112’3″

With a legal wind, MV’s Seth Baylus successfully broke his own state record in the 100 posting a 10.73. He also won the 200 in 21.66. Baylus had a career day as he also PR’d in 21.66 to win the 200. Bedford sophomore Christopher Chong swept the hurdle events winning the High Hurdles in 15.22 and 300 Hurdles 40.74.
Londonderry’s Sean Clegg rolled in the 400 posting 50.19. Concord’s Sam Hilts and John Murphy took their show to the 800 as they went 1-2 respectively in 1:59.07 and 1:59.55.
Leb’s Birhanu Harriman won one of the better races of the day in 4:24.04 over Bedford’s Jacob Redman 4:24.23 and Pinkerton’s Luke Brennan and Windham’s Michael Killian. Concord’s Zachary Hooper won the 3200 in 9:52.72.
Bedford’s Adam Lacroix won the high jump clearing 6’2.5″ , while Merrimack’s Samuel Epstein stayed undefeated at Pole Vault once again clearing 14′ and taking attempts at 15′. Bedford’s Colby Snow won the Long Jump on a tiebreaker over Pelham’s Nikolas Snyder while North’s Jack Sullivan won the Triple (41’9″).
In the throws, Toby Brown of North eclipsed the 50′ barrier to win with a toss of 50’8.5″, while Peyton Strickland of Goffstown continued to dominate the discus with a throw of 165’2″. Campbell’s Justin Edmonds won the javelin by exactly 10′ with a mark of 160’0″.
